E-ID tools is an application that controls the access on the basis of a scan of the electronic identity card.
This application is used for Safe Party/Recreation Zone. Safe Party/Recreation Zone is a total security concept in which the software application e-ID tools and a sophisticated legal procedure assure a safe development of events and an increased security in public centres, such as swimming pools, public recreation domains etc.
PROCEDURE
When a visitor has severely or repeatedly jeopardised the security of other visitors/partygoers, the mayor may decide to ban that visitor from future parties that carry the Save Party Zone label or to refuse access for a certain time to public domains carrying the Safe Recreation Zone label.
E-ID TOOLS APPLICATION
The system is easy to use and functions on the basis of a scan of the electronic identity card. From now on, all persons who want to enter a Safe Party Zone party will have to carry their identity card. This also counts for visitors of public centres that use the Safe Recreation concept.
In case of Save Party/Recreation, each identity card is digitally scanned at the entrance and the data on the card are compared to the data of known troublemakers. If there is a match, a red warning icon appears which means that this person is not allowed to enter. The data of troublemakers are saved in a secured database to which only the authorised administrators have access. Users of the system never get to see the data of visitors when their identity cards are scanned, not even in the case of troublemakers. This is one of the measures that had to be taken within the framework of the privacy legislation.
The system also offers a solution for people that have forgotten/lost their identity card and for foreigners. In those cases a manual check is done on the basis of certain data such as birth date, birth place etc.
COMMUNICATIVE LABEL
Organisers that put the label on their promotional material communicate in this way that they will scan the identity cards. Public centres need to communicate this as well using all possible means. These parties and centres will thus be recognised on the one hand by people that have been banned and on the other by youngsters/parents that are looking for safer parties or public recreation domains. In case of parties, the label also stands for increased attention for all safety aspects (use of fire-resistant decoration, crowd management, alcohol policy, security, …)
SCENARIO - CHARTER
